  • Why is this conference worth the money?

Ok, so we might be a bit biased... but here is why we genuinely think Advocate! 2019 will be a really valuable conference for you:

Learn from some of the best minds in the world of advocacy

We are proud to say that our Advocate! speakers are some of the best in the business. Why? Because every single one of them is not just a 'professional speaker', they are a celebrated practitioner in their topic area. That means, you can learn directly about strategies, philosophies, technologies, and methods of WHAT REALLY WORKS in advocacy.

Spend time with like-minded people from across the continent

From the reception, to the event, to the breaks, you will have several opportunities to interact, network, and be surrounded by like-minded participants from across North America. Whether it's running advocacy for a company, non-profit, or political cause, you will have the opportunity to network with professionals who can grow your ambition, and help your cause.

  • Can I volunteer for Advocate! 2019? 2019?

Advocate! 2019 does offer limited volunteer opportunities. At the moment, our volunteer propgram is fully subscribed.

  • Will there be refreshments provided or available for purchase?

Our awesome food and beverage sponsors will have complimentary drinks and snacks available throughout the day. The Calgary Public Library also offers a coffee shop on the main level, and East Village offers several food and drink choices in short walking distance.

  • I don’t work in advocacy directly, is Advocate! 2019 still right for me?

Absolutely - Advocate! 2019 is for anyone wanting to enhance their understanding on how the current tools of modern advocacy (be they digital apps, organizing tools, tactics, case studies, or strategies) impact how we communicate, market, and persuade. Many of our attendees come from communications, marketing, non-profit, or government and stakeholder relations backgrounds or own their own business. The goal of our conference is to leave attendees with valuable and actionable insights that they can implement with their teams, clients, projects, or business.

  • What does my Advocate! 2019 ticket include?

Your ticket includes the conference day and the conference pre-event on the evening of November 14th. When you arrive, you'll receive your lanyard and a welcome package. Throughout the conference day, you'll also receive complimentary snacks and beverages from our incredible sponsors.
